Honoring Fr. Pater

THNAK YOU Fr. Pater!

For many years Father Giles Pater hasfr-pater been an important part of the ministry team at Our Lord Christ the King Parish. He began celebrating Sunday Masses here soon after he retired as pastor of St. John Fisher parish in Newtown, and has been faithful to us, his adopted parish, through snow, rain or heat waves. We have been blessed with his quiet, joyful presence, his thoughtful homilies, his gentle demeanor, and his wonderful smile. Most of all, we have been graced with his example of faith.

Quiet Bags

quiet-bagsWe all know that bringing young children to Mass can be challenging.  In the interest of helping all parishioners to fully participate in the Mass, the Christ the King Moms Group and Worship Commission are introducing “Quiet Bags” for our parish children to use during Mass.  The bags can be found in the church vestibule.  Please use and return following the Mass.  “Quiet Bags” contain various items such as: Magnadoodle, Religious Books, Pretend Mass Kit.
