Kindergarten – 8th Grade Application & Enrollment Process

Admission Considerations & Requirements:
Cardinal Pacelli has priority enrollment factors, these include:
- Grade level screening
- Length of time as an active parishioner at Our Lord Christ the King Parish Family (St. Rose, St. Stephen and Holy Cross-Immaculata)
- Siblings attending Cardinal Pacelli School
- Legacy – family members attended Cardinal Pacelli School
- All prospective students must attend a shadow day until 1:00 and participate in an exit interview
- Effective for the 2027 – 2028 school year, all Kindergarten applicants must turn 5 by August 1st of the enrollment year.
Application Checklist:
To complete the application process, please complete the checklist items listed below, including submission of all supplemental forms.
- Submit completed Online Application and application fee
- Submit the following by uploading in this application or submitting directly to the school:
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- Custody papers (if applicable) Please note that this documentation must be submitted at the time of application.
- Special Education History which includes the following:
- Individualized Education Plan
- Special Education Testing
- Speech services or intervention
- Any current school accommodations
- Any additional documented support/interventions at school
- Any concerns that your child may need special education services in the future
- Submit prior testing results (MAP, iReady, or another comparable test from the prior year to present year
- Submit the most recent report card and final report card of the year prior
All newly accepted students will undergo a probationary period, during which their academic performance and behavioral conduct will be assessed to determine the appropriateness of their placement.
Kindergarten Application Timeline for ’27-’28:
- September 14, 2026: Applications for the ’27-28 School Year Open
- January 13, 2026: Deadline to apply for Preschool, Pre-K and/or Kindergarten for the ’27-’28 school year
- January 20-21, 2027: Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten Screenings
- January 27, 2027: Early learner and Kindergarten enrollment begins; preschool, pre-k and kindergarten decisions sent out
- February 3, 2027: Deadline for existing early learner and accepted preschool, pre-k and kindergarten students to enroll
- February 3, 2027: Enrollment opens for existing K-8 students
- February 27, 2027: Enrollment deadline for existing K-8 students
Timelines may vary for Grades 1-8 depending on space available in each grade, shadow/screening dates, etc.; please fill out the online inquiry form to get started!
Parent & Student Expectations:
Parishioners of Our Lord Christ the King Church or one of our family of parishes including St. Rose, St. Stephan, and Holy Cross – Immaculata must fulfill these responsibilities:
- Parent
- Active, regular support of the religious instruction of my child through practice and worship
- Regular attendance at Mass at Christ the King Church or one of the Riverview Catholic family of parishes and Support of Sacramental programs (Penance, Eucharist, Confirmation)
- Active participation in parish activities
- Participation in the PTO volunteer program is strongly recommended
- Financial support of the church via Sunday contributions
- Financial support of the school by payment of tuition and fees
- Student
- Exhibits a Christian attitude and conforms to school regulations in all areas
- Completes the required course of study and related assignments according to his/her ability
Non-Parishioners must fulfill these responsibilities to be eligible for admission:
- Parent
- Participation in the PTO volunteer program is strongly recommended
- Financial support of the school by payment of tuition and fees
- Student
- Exhibits a Christian attitude and conforms to school regulations in all areas
- Completes the required course of study and related assignments according to his/her ability
All admissions to Cardinal Pacelli School are subject to Principal and Pastor approval.
