Sixth grade students visited the Cincinnati Zoo’s famous reptile house. This hands-on learning experience helped to reinforce the students understanding of reptiles, their environment, their body structure, and more. Click here to see more.

Eighth grade students in Senora Mahoney’s Spanish class experienced an authentic paella! Our students not only learn the language, but develop an understanding of the culture and traditions of various Spanish speaking countries through hands-on learning experiences. The Cardinal Pacelli community gathered to celebrate Mary, the Mother of the Son of God, and the crown of creation. Eighth grade students presented a flowers to Mary in honor of their upcoming graduation. Click here to see more.

Forth grade students created a Pacelli Arcade through a collaboration between our visual arts and STEM departments. Younger students were treated to an afternoon of games and activities and our forth grade students displayed their creativity and ingenuity. Click here to see more.

All students were delighted by a visit from Midwest Falconry, a conservation team that specializes in education and conservation efforts to protect birds of prey. Students were engaged with in flight demonstrations from hawks, meet many species of owls from around the world, and left feeling empowered to protect the environment of these amazing birds. Students in Mrs. Taul’s 6th grade science class dissected frogs as part of Cardinal Pacelli’s robust hands-on learning environment. Dissection provides an excellent overview of organ and tissue systems of complex living organisms and an opportunity to analyze the structure and function of its components. Click here to see more.

Both 7th and 8th grades spent the day immersed in hands-on learning at Greenacres Farm, located in Indian Hill. Using our natural surroundings, like woodlands and fields, students have the opportunity to explore the natural world outside the classroom.
